Daniel Saka Mbumba is a Sanctions Compliance Project Manager currently working at BNP Paribas Investment Banking in Paris. He recently relocated to Paris after spending the past 5 years in the New York office. His work focuses on Financial Security Risk Compliance (International Sanctions and Embargoes, Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism). In this capacity, he helps the Bank comply with international sanctions regulations by enhancing its sanctions risk monitoring and control framework.
Prior to joining the banking industry, Daniel started his career as a management consultant at BearingPoint in Paris, helping a wide variety of clients to successfully digitalize their operations by leveraging enterprise solutions. Daniel is a Young Leader of the Atlantic Dialogue Conference and the GLOBSEC Forum, and he is an Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership Fellow.
Daniel holds a M.S. in Statistics and Software engineering from the Polytech Lille GraduateSchool of Engineering and he had also studied at the Oklahoma University. He is a Certified Global Sanction Specialist (ACAMS CGSS) as well as a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP).
