Adrian-Vasile Popa is research assistant at “Mihai Viteazul” National Intelligence Academy (Romania), where he has obtained his PhD in International Relations. He holds an MA in Politics and International Relations and an MSc in Strategic Studies and International Law from the University of Aberdeen (UK).
His first work experience was as assistant project manager for a non-governmental organization specialized on worldwide mobility projects for young people. He later worked as intelligence analyst for the Romanian Intelligence Service.
Currently, Adrian-Vasile Popa is involved in various research projects focused on the security in the Wider Black Sea Region. His academic work has resulted so far in three books, several published articles and conference presentations delivered in Romania and abroad.
